定语从句

1．定语从句的定义：定语由一个完整的句子来作，就叫作定语从句。

2．定语从句考点：关系代词和关系副词的选择

3．关系代词（who/that/which/whom/whose）

who 人 主/宾 He is a man who/that often helps others.

that 人/物 主/宾 Here is the man that/who you would like to see.

A plane is a machine that/which can fly.

which 物 主/宾 It is a computer which/that costs six thousand yuan.

whose 人/物 定语 Is there anyone in our class whose father is a doctor?

He lives in a house whose windows face south.

whom 人 宾 The man whom you met yesterday is my uncle.

as人/物 主/宾/表 As is known to all, Edison invented the electric lamp.

I want to read such a book as you read.

I want to read the same book as you read.

He is not the same man as he was.

4.只能用that不用which的情况(1)当先行词是all,much,little,few,something,none等不定代词时I am interested in everything that is about basketball.(2)当先行词被the only,the last,the very等修饰时Chatting was the only thing that interested her.(3)当先行词是序数词或被序数词修饰时He was the first person that passed the exam.

(4)当先行词被最高级修饰时

The oldest man that sits in the middle is my grandfather.

(5)当先行词既有人又有物时

She took photos of the things and people that was beautiful.

(6)当主句是以who或which开头的特殊疑问句时

Who is the person that is standing at the gate?

5.只能用which不用that的情况(1)关系代词前有介词时This is the house in which they lived last year.(2) ,which . (that不引导非限制性定语从句）This is the store, which I often buy things.
