Teaching contents:
Unit 4 :Let’s have some fruit
Teaching aims:
Master some new words about fruits.
Using the dialogues skillfully.
Keys and difficulties:
Vocabulary: watermelon, plum, grapes, orange, mango, pineapple, sweet, sour
Sentences:
A: Have some grapes.
B: Great. I like grapes. They’re sweet.
A: Have an orange.
B: Sorry. I don’t like orange. They’re sour.
Emotional attitudes and values:
The part of the learning contents close to the lives of students, the theme of talking recognition.
Step 1.Learn the new words.
Start by using illustrations so that students review some of the words.(apple, banana, pear…)
Use the pictures, slides to show the new words, after listening, reading, the students can pronounce correctly and understand them.(watermelon, plum, grapes, orange, mango, pineapple)
Step 2.Teaching the dialogues.
First, show the photo ”Have some grapes” and the answers ”Great, I like grapes. They’re sweet.” Students listen, understand and read.
Next, show the picture “Have a pear.” And the answers” Sorry. I don’t like pears. They’re sour.”Students listen, understand and read.
Then practice the dialogues.
Step 3:Practise.
Take out some fruit cards.
First, ask several students to make some dialogues with the teacher. Using “Great, I like…””They’re sweet.” “They’re sour.”
For example:
T: Have an apple.
S:Great. I like apples. They’re sweet.
T: Have a mango?

Step 5. Listen to a song.
Show the picture of the song. Let students listen and sing by themselves.
Teaching reflection:
In the class, students are all interested in learning and talking about the dialogue. It’s a good topic. Everyone enjoys this topic.
