Skimming. Read the article quickly and answer the questions.
What do people in the UK eat on their birthday?
What about Chinese people?
Scanning: write “T” for true of “F” for false.
If there are six candles in the cake, the person may be six years old.
Chinese people often cut up the noodles on their birthday.
All of the birthday foods around the world are the same.
Detailed reading . Read carefully and answer the questions in 2c. (pair work)

六、教学反思
本节课是一节阅读课,我没有照本宣科的上这节课,而是启发学生自主学习。并且交给他们一些阅读的技巧,引导学生制作思维导图,帮助他们很好的理解这篇文章。但是在教学中没有照顾到学习水平偏下的孩子们,在今后的课堂上提高他们的自信心。
