Unit 7 How much are these socks?

·Teaching aims:

1. knowledge objectives:

1) Vocabulary:

much, How much…, sock, T-shirt, shorts sweater, sweater, trousers, shoe, skirt, dollar

2).Target language:

How much is the blue T-shirt? It’s seven dollars.

How much are these socks? They are two dollars..

2. Ability objectives: Encourage students learn to ask and answer the price of the things.

3. Emotion objectives: To cultivate the cooperation through peer interaction. It’s not polite to ask the price of others’ things and incomes.

How much questions

·Difficulties:

The names of different clothes. Demonstratives this, that, these, those.

·Teaching procedures:

The first Period

Step 1:Warm-up

T: What is this?

S:It is sweater.

T:What are they?

S:They are socks.

Step2:Lead in

T: What is this?

S:It is sweater.

T:How much is it?

S: It is ten dollars.

Step3Teaching and practice.

Practice the dialogues in pairs

Step4;Listening

Play the recording the first time. Ask Ss to circle the names of the things they hear in the picture in

Play the recoding a second time. listen and repeat

Step5Exercise

Do some exercises and then check the answers

Homework: memorize all the new words we’ve learnt today.
