一、课前热身

让学生复习形容词、副词比较级的构成规则。

激情导入

利用PPT课件在白板上展示几组图片，让学生根据图片来做比较。

如：T：That tree is tall,but this tree is taller.

S: This tree is taller than tree.

三、学习过程

Step1. 合作探究

探究一：两者进行比较,表示“一方比另一方更……”

1. A + be + 形容词比较级 + than + B e.g. I’m more outgoing than you. 我比你更外向。

2. A + 实义动词 + 副词比较级 + than + B e.g. Tom jumps higher than Jack. 汤姆比鲍勃跳得更高。

探究二：两者进行比较,表示“一方与另一方一样……”

1. A + be + as 形容词原形 + as + B e.g. Jack is as funny as Mike. 杰克与迈克一样滑稽。

2. A + 实义动词 + as 副词原形 + as + B e.g. Claire gets up as early as Sue. 克莱尔与休起得一样早。

Complete the sentences according to the text.

1. 汤姆比萨姆更聪明吗？ Is Tom _______ ____ Sam?

Compare your parents. Check (√) who is smarter, funnier, etc. in the chart. Then ask your partner about his /her parents.
