1）教材分析 本单元的话题是“秘鲁”。

通过阅读使学生了解秘鲁的历史和地理位置及名胜古迹。阅读部分（Using language）从地理、历史、政治、文化等从多角度说明使学生对秘鲁有一个比较详实的认识，有助于深入地理解和领悟秘鲁文化习俗。

2）学习者特征分析

高二学生已掌握一部分英语知识，具备一定的英语学习能力，但基础薄弱，学习热情不高，学习习惯较差，老师需引起学生英语学习的浓厚兴趣，吸取其注意力，丰富学生的思维和想象力，从而激发学习兴趣，增强他们学英语的信心。



Teaching Aims

1．认知目标：Master the details of the passage and retell the passage.

2. 能力目标：a. Talk about travel or live in another country.

b. Enable the students to write about problems they might experience while traveling.

3．情感目标：Arouse the interest of the students to learn the cultures after reading the passage.



Important and difficult points: 1. Learn about Peru.

2. Learn to attract tourists through description of the tour lines.



Teaching Procedures

Step1、（5mins）Lead in： Ask the students something about their traveling to mysterious island. Talk about traveling abroad.

Step2、（3mins）Look at the map of South America on the right. Find the cities of Lima and Cuzco and the Andes Mountains. Discuss what you already know about Peru.

Step3、(10mins) 老师让学生先快速阅读课文并回答下列几个问题:

Question: 1. Why is Cuzco popular with tourists?

(Cuzco is a popular tourist destination as it is close to the famous Inca ruins of the city of Machu Picchu. It’s a city where both Indian and Spanish culture and art can be seen.)

2 . What is special about Lake Titicaca?

(Lake Titicaca is the highest lake in the world , and boats can travel on it.)

七、教学反思

高中新课程改革，这对我们来说既是机遇，又是挑战，新课改倡导建设性学习，注重科学探究的学习，提倡交流与合作、自主创新学习。学生在学习中存在智力、兴趣性格、态度、语言基础能力、学习方式等方面的差异，因此在教学中我根据不同学生个体的差异，对他们提出不同的要求。创造宽松、和谐的气氛 。培养学生探究性学习的能力。在课前我要求学生先预习，找出语言点；课后整理总结笔记，并发现重难点，以改进自己的教学方法，最大限度的提高教学质量。
