Ⅰ. Teaching aims
能够根据已学语音、音标及发音规则,正确朗读和拼写下列词汇:
bring, candle, wish, blow, everyone等;
能够熟练应用一般过去时叙述过去的事件、生日庆祝活动,如:
We brought many presents for him.
Kangkang made a wish, and then he blew out the candles.
Everyone had a good time.
能够正确使用不规则动词的过去式,如:
lose—lost buy—bought bring—brought give—gave sit—sat
blow—blew
能够根据音标拼读单词以及掌握一般疑问句和陈述句的语调变化。
2. Skill aims
能够识别并标出一般疑问句和陈述句的语调;
能够听懂有关生日庆祝活动的对话,并作出正确的反应;
能在课堂活动中交流过去的事件和生日庆祝活动的表达方式;
能够读懂图片,并掌握主要信息;
能够描述自己难忘的生日庆祝活动。
3. Emotional aims
通过学唱英文歌曲培养学生学习英语的兴趣;
乐于接触并了解异国文化。
Ⅱ. The key points and difficult points
1.能够运用一般过去时叙述过去的事件、生日庆祝活动等;
2.能够掌握不规则动词的一般过去时,如:
lose—lost buy—bought bring—brought give—gave sit—sat
blow—blew
3.能根据音标拼读单词以及掌握一般疑问句和陈述句的语调变化。

Step 1 Greeting and leading in
1. Ask the students to give the duty report.
2. Let the students enjoy the Birthday Song .
T: Do you know the song?
Ss: Yes, it’s the Birthday Song.
T: Yes , we often sing it to celebrate our birthday. Why do we like to celebrate our birthday?
Ss: ……
(Encourage students to talk about it.)
T: Today we will learn a new lesson about Kangkang and his friends. Let’s learn Section C together.
3. Show the learning goals .
Step 2 Reading
Task 1 Skimming Read the passage and answer the questions:
1. When was the birthday party?
2. How did everyone feel ?
Reading skill 1: Read the first and last sentence quickly to get the general idea of the passage.
3. What’s the title of the passage? Please write it on the line.
Task 2 scanning Read the passage again and answer the following questions:
1. What did Kangkang’s parents buy for the party?
2. How old is Kangkang?
3. Why did the Kangkang like the cards very much?
4. What did thd children do at the party?
Reading skill 2: Scan the passage quickly and we can find out the key information.
Task 3 Careful reading
1. What does the phrase“blew out the candles”mean in Chinese?
2. We decorated the house with flowers, balloons and photos.

Reading skill 3: Guessing the meaning of a word from the context. We can understand the passage better.
Step 3 practice
1. Ask students find out the irregular words in the passage.
2. Read them aloud

Step4 consolidation
1. Listen to the passage and follow it .
2. Read 1a and try to retell it according to the key words

2. know the past forms of these irregular verbs.
buy--bought, bring--brought, give--gave, make--made, sit--sat, blow--blew, lose--lost, come--came.
Step 7 Homework
Write a passage about“Billy birthday party”.
Review the lesson.

通过本课的教学,使我认识到阅读教学应处理好 教师的“教”和学生的“学”的关系:教师应更多地关注如何教会学生阅读,而不是仅向学生灌输大量的语言知识。教学过程是学生在教师的帮助和指导下掌握知识和形成技能的过程。教师应让学生在活动中发挥其主体地位,让学生自己去发现问题、分析问题和解决问题。
