Teaching aims:
1.Knowledge objectives:
(1) Students,master the useful words and phrases: Pacific, excited, enjoy, journey, on holiday, drive sb to ….
(2)Get the useful sentence structure through these sentences:
Where did you go?
How long did it take to get there?
Who was with you?
What did you do?
How long did you stay there?
2.Ability objectives:
(1). To help students to improve their ability of listening and speaking by listening to the dialogue of Betty’s journey.
(2). Enable students to use the past tense to talk about their journey in the past.
3.Moral objectives:
(1). To experience and share the joy of traveling.
(2). Cultivating the positive attitude to enjoy and love life.
二、教学重难点(说明本课题的重点、难点)
Teaching importance:
The usage of the past tense and the verb’s past form.
Teaching difficulties:
(1).Help students to understand the past tense of special question.
(2).Cultivating the ability of expressing opinions about a journey according to the special question.
三、学情分析(分析学生的知识起点、技能起点和态度起点)
Students have learnt the past tense.
Students are able to grasp the past tense of verbs.
四、教学内容分析(简要说明本节课的主要学习内容)
Step1:Revasion
1、review some words
2、talk about “what did you do last weekend? ”
3、Show some pictures of Tong Zhou Lake. Ask students where is it ?.
4 、Ask students if they know anything about California,
Step2: New presentation
1. Before listening get students to find the places (Disneyland. Hollywood. Santa Monica. Los Angeles) on the map.
2. Tell students they are going to hear a dialogue about Betty’s journey. They should listen and write the numbers next to the places as they hear. And then check.
3. Play the part of the recording again, get students to fill in the form about Betty’s activities.--What did Betty do? And then check it.
4. After listening ask students several questions of Betty’s activities to practice “Did Betty...?” sentence.
Step3 Listen and read
1.Tell students they are going to hear more about Betty’s holiday journey. Listen and answer the two questions.

( )⑵.How long did it take to get there?
A. nine hours B. about nineteen hours
2. Listen to the dialogue again and answer the questions .

3.Ask the students to read the dialogue aloud ,after reading find the answers to these questions.
①. How did Betty get to Los Angeles?
②. How did Betty get to her friends’ home?
③. Why was Betty excited at Disneyland?
④. How long did she stay in Disneyland?

九、教学反思
通过本次的授课,教学目标达到,全英教学,让孩子感受英语的魅力,英文歌曲的导入,将孩子们带入到欢快的英语学习中!男女生分组机制的应用,调动学生积极性,分层次设置问题,让孩子在英语课堂主动张嘴讲英语,提升自信心。但是重难点突破未能做到实处,在单词讲授和练习中花费时间过多,习题练习有些少。
