一、教学内容分析



The first part is about the analysis of teaching material. This lesson is chosen from PEP English book of primary school , Section A “let’s Learn /talk ’ Unit , from the first semester Grade -.6 The main topic of this unit is “Where did you go? ”



二、教学目标





Knowledge objects:

Students will be able to understand and speak “ Where did you go over your holiday? What did you do ?”

Ability objects :

Students will be able to speak and listen in communicating with others in authentic life .Besides they can ask others how to spend their holidays and what they do .

Emotional objects :

It is to foster learners’ communicative competence to build personal relationships and know more others how to enjoy their holidays.

About the key and difficulty points:

The key point is to be clear about the sentence patterns “ Where did you go ? and Where are you going ?” “What did you do ? and What are doing ? (What are you doing?

The difficulty and point is to how to spend their holidays meaningfully and arrange their time right to study .

The key point is to help students to understand and apply the past present tense.



三、学习者特征分析



Students have good foundation for some key vocabularies and sentence patterns in Grade 6th. However they have less chance of speaking and listening . Therefore I will emphasize more on strengthening learners’ communicative competence.

Warming-up:

After greeting, I ask Students whether they want to know where I went in my holiday and what I did .



“ Sing a song” Where did you go last weekend?



The purpose is to arouse SS curiosity and more desire to learn .



Pre-listening:

Based on the warming up activity , I will put some words on the blackboard and lead them to say the words . Like rode a horse , rode a bike went fishing .

Then I will show a picture to students to predict what Amy and John are talking about and what has happened to them .

The purpose is to give some background information and knowledge input to enable students to infer.



While listening:

Students should listen to the tape for first time and check whether their prediction is right or not . Then I will ask them to listen to the conversation for second time .

I will invite students to discuss firstly and answer some questions like 1. What happened to John ?

2. Who rode the horse ?

3.Were there any grapes in Turban ?

After 3 minutes , I will pick students to tell me answers.

In this way , their listening ability will be practiced and they will get more detailed and key information in the conversation.



 Post-listening:

In this stage, I will divide students into several groups to make a poster about what they have done during the holiday . I will have a PK for boys and girls . I will draw two big trees on the blackboard , adding flowers inside of trees. The winner is the one who gets the most apples. I will give SS 10 minutes to prepare for that .For example , I will make a poster about Zhong Shang Park. Then students need to act it out to share their holidays with others .

During the process , I will walk around to help them as an encourager and an assistant. After that , I will invite some groups to come forward to display it .

The activity is to develop their imaginative abilities and get more familiar with the new sentences to communicate in real life.



Summary:

Read after the tape again , I will give students 3 minutes to make a chant.

‘Where did go and what did you do ?’ I went to the London and saw the big bang .

The purpose is to review.



Homework

Ask SS to draw a picture of their holidays.

After that , I will assess it.

Share with their best friends at home.

The purpose is to consolidate and practice.



五、教学策略选择



Teaching and learning methods:

I will mainly use audio-lingual , situational , CLT and TBLT to make my class more interesting and vivid . I will arrange some tasks and activities to be accomplished by themselves . As to the learning methods , SS will cooperate and explore in groups.



六、教学评价设计





1.Very active in participating

2.Nice and standard pronunciation

3.Take the initiative to cooperate and communicate with classrooms.

4.Be confident to blurt it out.

5. Think and ask questions critically.

Rating:Great job / Good job Need to be improved .

八、教学反思



In future , It is vital that I should care more about the underachievers with more patience.

During the process of teaching , it is necessary to pause for a while and othff more chances for each learner to speak to enhance their communicative competence in authentic environment instead of focusing on writing and listening .

Last but the least, It is useful to introduce more local Western cultures to learners to broaden their horizons.
