First, play a cartoon video about a ball game.
Ask the students to watch the video carefully.
Then, ask a question:
T: What is the video about?
S: It’s about basketball.
T: Yes, it’s a kind of ball game. Today, we’ll go on to learn Unit 5 Do you have a soccer ball.

Show some pictures about ball games and ask the students to tell the names.

Teach the students how to pronounce the letter/letters.

Match the words with the things in the picture.
Check the answers.
5. Listen and circle the words you hear.
T: If I want to know you have a soccer ball or you don’t have a soccer ball, what should I ask?
S: Do you have a soccer ball?
T: How can you answer my question?
S: Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
学生活动:接力问答

6. T: If I want to know somebody else, what should I ask you?
S: --Does ... have a ...? --Yes, ...does./No, ...doesn’t.
7. 学生活动:Work in pair to practice the short dialogue.
8. 听力训练(2a,2b)
Listen to the conversations and number the picture.
Listen again. Match the pictures in 2a with the balls.
Listen for a third time and fill in the blanks.
Pick up the key points.
9.对话学习(2d)
Read the dialogue and answer some questions:
a. Are they late? b. Does Helen have the baseball?
c. Where’s the baseball bat? d. Does Helen have her jacket?
Read again and match the things with the right places.
Pick up some key points:
10.拓展训练(编对话并表演)
Make your own conversation with these sentences and act it out.
