Unit 6 Do you like bananas?
Section B 2b Sports Star Eats Well.
My presentation consists of six parts.
Part 1 The analysis of the teaching material
1、Status and function
This lesson is the fourth period , selected from unit 6 “Do you like bananas?” This unit is from People’s Education Press , 2012 Edition. The topic is to talk about what sb. like and dislike. This is what New English Curriculum For Junior Middle Schools Experimental Version drafted by the Education Ministry of the PRC demands. As for grammar, we have learned the usage of the simple present tense to have in unit 5. In unit 6 section A , we have learned how to distinguish countable nouns and uncountable nouns and talk about what sb. like and dislike.
In this lesson , we will learn a reading passage. Its title is “Sports Star Eats Well”. It is about eating habits. This topic is related to our daily life, so it’s easy to arouse the students’ learning interests.
2、 Teaching aims and demands
My teaching objectives include the following parts.
First , the knowledge aims:
By the end of this lesson, the students need master some words and phrases: sports star; eat well; ask sb. about sth. eating habits; health----healthy; question ; after dinner; want to do sth. want to be…
Second, the ability aims:
In this lesson, we demand the students can understand the article better; Then we can improve the Ss’ skills of listening, asking; answering and reading;
Third, the emotional and attitude goal:

2.“整体理解性问题”的设计与作用。随着词汇、语言点的处理,老师再精心设计部分“大问题”,促使学生加强对段落的理解,理顺事件发生的顺序,人物行为,加深对文章整体的把握,获取中心意思。同时,根据教师板书的设计,争取让学生达到学完文章便能将文章用自己的语言进行概述。
3.“趣味思考性问题”的设计与作用。在处理了语言点知识,对文章整体认识后,老师可精心设计一些激发学生兴趣问题,有些问题可让学生相互讨论。进一步促使学生去了解作者观点、态度,激发学生学习兴趣,形成积极的学习态度。发展学生探究学习和合作精神。从而提高学生阅读分析、判断能力。
