Unit 7 Will people have robots?

第一课时Section A(1a-2d)

【知识目标】

Important words: paper,pollution,future,pollute,environment,planet,earth,plant,part

1.will构成的一般将来时态的结构。

2.正确区分可数名词和不可数名词;正确使用more,less,fewer

难点: 学会使用一般将来时态预言将来。

教学过程:

◆Step 1 Leading in

Show some pictures to the students.(见课件)

T:Can you guess what will happen in 100 years?How will your life be different in

the future? Now let’s talk about some pictures.

设计意图

由图片导入新课,激发了学生用英语表达的欲望,同时又引出了本节课的重点句型。





◆Step 2  1a

1.T:Now class,look at the picture:How will the world be different 100 years from now?We’re going to talk about sth.in 100 years.

2.Read each prediction to the class.Explain the new vocabulary.

3.Read the instructions.Make sure Ss know what they should do.

4.Do it by themselves and ask some students to say their opinions.

◆Step 3  1b

1.T:Now listen to the recording and circle the predictions you hear in 1a.

2.Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the predictions.

3.Play the recording again.Check the answers with the Ss.(见课件)

◆Step 4  Pair work 1c

1.Let Ss practice the conversation with their partner.

2.Then let Ss make their own conversations.

3.Let some pairs act it out.

◆Step 5  2a & 2b

Work on 2a

1.Read the sentences in 2a.Tell Ss they will listen to some sentences.They should listen and circle the words in the bracket.

2.Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the words.

3.Play the recording again to check the answers.(见课件)

Work on 2b

1.Let Ss read the sentences below.Explain some main sentences for the Ss.Make sure they know what to do.

2.Play the recording for the Ss to check the predictions they hear.

3.Play the recording again to check the answers.(见课件)

◆Step 6  Pair work 2c

1.Ask two students to role-play the conversation.

2.Tell Ss to ask and answer questions about the predictions in 2a and 2b.

◆Step 7  Role-play the conversation 2d

1.Read the conversation quickly and answer the questions:

(1)What will the future be like?

(2)What can people do?

Keys:(1)Cities will be more crowded and polluted.There will be fewer trees and the environment will be in great danger.

(2)We can use less water and plant more trees.Everyone should play a part in saving the earth.

2.Read the conversation again and finish the tasks.(见课件)

3.Practice the conversation with their partner.Then let some pairs to act out the conversation.

◆Step 8  Homework

1.Review the new words and phrases of this part.

2.Make predictions about yourself in 10 years.Write down 5 sentences.
