一、教学内容分析



This lesson is from Book One. The text is a piece of narrative which accounts the author’s dream and plan that have a journey to the Mekong. The first teaching period serve as the form of introduction and lead-in part. During this part, the goal is to introduce the form of transport and the main topic of this lesson (ask students to describe an imaginary holiday journey). Then the pre-reading is an introduction to the text (Journey Down The Mekong). This can make students read the text with some questions. After this, teacher can ask students first to skim the text to get main idea or topic sentence of each paragraph. Then read again to find the information for the exercise in comprehending. Finally, work in pairs to use the text information to make a dialogue. During the process, the teacher can not only develop students’ reading ability, including skimming, scanning and other reading skills but also get the students to learn knowledge and culture of different places. Before reading, in order to make students feel less difficult, the teacher should deal with any language problems while they are reading.



二、教学目标

B. Ability Objectives:

1) How to describe a journey?

2) How to use The Present Progressive Tense express the future action.

4.整堂课师生,生生互动性强,在自主、互动、探究的方式中展开课堂教学,充分挖掘课文内容的内涵和外延,联系学生的生活,建构新知。

5.以任务型为教学原则,本案例的每一个任务都是围绕学习者“学”的角度设计的。通过小组活动,培养合作探究能力。学生的每一个活动都具有明确的目的指向和具体的操作要求,实现了英语在真实情境中的应用。但其中也出现了很多不足需要注意,如让学生的口语练习比较少,以后要多增加。
