高中英语必修2 Unit2教学设计与反思

一、教学内容分析

本课是unit2 the Olympic games 的阅读课,中心话题是the Olympic games.阅读内容是一篇对话题记叙文,通过古希腊作家Pausanias到现代社会采访一位中国奥运志愿者的方式,介绍奥运会的相关知识。如:奥运会的起源,发展,主题和一些竞赛项目,让学生了解到古代和现代奥运会的异同。通过对该文的学习,我们不仅要学习课本上有关奥运会的知识,同时也深入了解奥运文化及其精神实质。

二、学生情况分析

教学对象是高一年级的学生,大部分学生已初步掌握了阅读文章的方法——捕捉关键词,概括主题,总结归纳整理,也具有一定的分析概括能力,自主,自立,自学的意识逐渐增强。他们的英语基础知识和基本技能参差不齐,有待提高,因此,调动学生的学习积极性,并引导学生进行扎实有效的学习是课堂教学的关键。

三、Teaching objectives

Knowledge objective:

1.Students can master some useful words and expression

2.Students can understand the passage and speak out their thoughts about the Olympic Games。

Ability objective

After the study,students are able to describe the Olympic Games and express it in written form

Emotional objective: Students can develop the habit of loving sports?????????????????

四、Teaching key and difficult points

Teaching key point:The key point is how to make students understand this passage and express their ideas about the Olympic Games

Teaching difficult point:How to improve the students reading ability and let them retell this passage fluently

五、Teaching procedures

Step1.lead-in

Greet the class. and then show some pictures and a song “you and me” about Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

(Justification:Attract students to focus on this lesson)

Step2.Pre—reading

Ask some related questions:

1、Where were the first Olympic games held?

2、Are there any similarities between the ancient and the modern Olympics?

3、Do you want to know more about modern Olympics?

Turn to page9.pausanias, who was an ancient Greek writer, has come on a magic journey to the present day; he wants to know more about modern Olympics.

(Justification:Encourage students to think about the topic and help them have more interest in this lesson)

Step 3.While—reading

1、Fast reading

Teacher plays the record; students read follow the tape and then get the main idea.

Read the passage carefully again and try to complete the two blanks.

what 引起宾语从句,并在从句中作call的宾语,“Ancient Greece”作宾补。what 相当于the place that, 因此what 不能改为that,也不能改为where,因为where只能作状语。

如?every other day

每隔几?..”用every few+复数名词?如every few metres,每隔几米

(Justification:The share of students’ answers can build their confidence of speaking English in public and this also can check whether they have a clear understanding of the passage。)

Step4、Post—reading

Retelling

Give students 3 minutes to prepare to retell the whole passage according to the main idea by using their own words。

(Justification:Retelling can help students deepen their impressions of Olympic games )

Step 5. Homework

1. Talk about the qualities a good journalist should have.

2. Write an article with the title-----my impression on the 2008 Olympic Games.

(Justification:The homework can improve their writing ability)
