Step 1

Lead in

Create the situation to make the Ss become interested in this subject to study, match each words with the pictures given.

1.To show the new lesson, give them the situation, make them be interested in the topic /2.Practice in pairs and act out



Step 2

Fun Ways to Get to School

After 1a, elicit from Ss how they get to school. Then elicit from Ss what they think would be the most fun way to get to school. When eliciting ideas, encourage Ss to use full sentence answers.

Follow this procedure:

1. Write on the board(见板书)

2. Take a class poll.

3. Announce the results of the poll. How do most Ss get to school?

4. Take a class poll.

5. Tell Ss the results of the poll. How would most Ss like to get to school?

 Check the words they have learned in various ways, such as in pairs, in groups or individually



Step 3

Transport Verbs

After 1b, have Ss listen and record the words used before each transport method. Write transport methods with blanks for the missing verbs on the board.

1.To show the new lesson, give them the situation, make them be interested in the topic /2.Practice in pairs and act out





Memory Challenge

After 1c, challenge Ss to complete a fun memory activity.

1. Give all Ss three minutes to look at the picture in 1a.

2. Have Ss work in pairs. While one S closes his/her book, the other looks at the picture in his/her book and asks questions.

3. Write a model conversation on the board.

Get to know the listening materials, and finish the tasks in the textbooks.



Step 4

Listen to the recorder for three times and finish the two tasks in the book, and the last time, if time id enough, we can ask the students to repeat the sentences

Step 5

Practice speaking

1 Ask students to stand up to finish speaking one by one according the Chinese meaning.

2 Let the students to make a dialogue according to the modal and stand up to practice in pairs.

3 At last, ask students to sum up the words, the sentences to organize the whole composition. and then express their own feelings.

Open their books, and act out the dialogue in pairs, make their own one according to the modal



Step 6

 Sum up

Based on what they have learned in class, the students sum up the whole lesson through reviewing all the points of Section A.

? The Ss can sum up the lesson in their own words





Step 7

Homework

1 If you are good, you can recite the text, and finish the paper.

2 If you are better, you can write something about the weather here in Harbin in your own words.

Give the students different homework for different levels
